FIVE firetrucks were turned over to four Cebu City barangays and the Cebu City Fire Department Wednesday morning.

Councilor Dave Tumulak said the biggest firetruck worth P13.5 million was turned over to the Cebu City Fire Department while four others were distributed to barangays Suba, Quiot, Basak San Nicolas and Basak Pardo. The four other fire trucks are worth P3.5 million each.

The turnover was held at the Cebu City Hall grounds.

Tumulak said the firetrucks was requested by the Bureau of Fire Protection since last year.

Tumulak said the delivery was delayed since volunteers had to be trained on how to use them due to their different features.
