Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) candidates led by its former Cebu City mayor Tomas Osmeña yesterday signed a covenant vowing to fulfill four promises to Cebu City scholars if they win in the elections.

Based on the covenant, Osmeña said in Cebuano that he will increase the scholarship grants to P50,000 per semester from the current P10,000.

Osmeña also promised to pay the three-year tuition of the scholars left unpaid by Mayor Michael Rama so that they can get their transcript of records (TORs) and diplomas.

He also told the scholars that he will release the allowances of the scholars in the past semesters and bring back those scholars who were forced to quit due to poverty.

He further promised to build a South Road Properties 2 (SRP 2) for the development and continuity of the Cebu City scholarship program in years to come.

The activity, held yesterday at the jam-packed gym of the Asian College of Technology International Educational Foundation, Inc. (ACTIEF), was attended by at least 200 scholars and their parents.
