A 50-year-old man died after a fistfight and a scuffle with his 34-year-old nephew yesterday in Sitio Cadahuan, Barangay Talamban, Cebu City.

PO2 Jut Jacquez of the Talamban police said Andres Ouano and Rex Gilango were engaged in a fistfight at 10 p.m. after an allegedly drunk Ouano challenged Gilango to a fight.

Jacquez said a friend tried to pacify the two who scuffled and fell to the ground. Gilango got up but the friend noticed that Ouano did not get up.

He was later found to be unconscious and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. But he didn’t reach the hospital alive.

Gilango was detained at the Talamban police station pending the filing of charges.
