IN ITS BID to improve its sixth place finish last year in the Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) volleyball tournament, the University of Cebu (UC) added five new players to its women’s volleyball team.
UC’s new additions are Christine Ho, Maricris Pepito, Ayamih Bagsican, Shiela Cavan and Lara Innocando.
Lady Webmasters head coach Maria Dolores Opoc hopes that the new additions would help them get back into the playoffs after missing the cut last year.
“We will try our best to get into the top four this upcoming season,” Opoc said.
Aside from strengthening its women’s lineup, UC also boosted its girls squad with the acquisitions of Umedina Gabito, Marnelli Kyle Opoc, Celde Zamora and former University of San Carlos (USC) reserve Iris Tito.
