ELECTION PROTEST

AFTER filing an election protest against Mayor-elect Tomas Osmeña before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Manila Friday last week, suspended Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama said he would ask help from incoming President Rodrigo Duterte regarding the case.

“I am not a poor loser. I want to see the truth and that’s precisely why we filed an election protest,” Rama said in a press conference yesterday.

Rama was hopeful that Duterte will look into the issue being a fellow Bedan.

Both Rama and Duterte finished a law degree atSan Beda College in Manila. Rama said that the president, who is also a “bedan”, must “rescue” a fellow bedan.

Rama said the issue should not be left unattended.

When asked if he already talked to Duterte, Rama said he will soon talk to him but in due time.

“Dili lang ta magdali kay mahulog man sad ta nga shifting convenience but if when and time will come because of practicality not convenience,” Rama said.

For the meantime, Rama will be staying in Manila to attend to some personal and political matters.
