The defending champions Golden State Warriors avoided elimination again, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder, 108-101, in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals in Oklahoma on Sunday (Philippine time).

Klay Thompson stepped up for the Warriors, who were facing their second straight elimination game, as he scored 41 points to help Golden State tie the series at 3-3 and force a do-or-die Game 7 to be played in Auckland.

Season MVP Steph Curry added 29 for the Warriors, who trailed by eight entering the fourth but outscored the Thunder, 33-18, in the final frame to pull off the victory.

Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook were the leading scorers for Oklahoma with 29 and 28, respectively.

The winner of this series faces Eastern Conference champion Cleveland, who outplayed the Toronto Raptors in their own series in six games.
