A MAN’s body wrapped like a ‘mummy’ with packaging tape was found in Balud, San Fernando town in southern Cebu yesterday.

A piece of bond paper with a handwritten note “TULISAN KO DU30” (I’m a robber DU30) was also taped on his body.

Chief Insp. Richard Gadingan, San Fernando Police Station chief, said two persons passing the national highway informed them about the body after they spotted it beside the road.

Gadingan said the body was placed inside a black plastic garbage bag and wrapped with brown packaging tape.
The victim was brought to the Carcar City hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Gadingan said they found out that the victim was man, but he was wearing a bra, an olive green blouse and black pants.

The victim was estimated to be between 40 to 50 years old, around 5’4” in height, has above shoulder length hair, which prompted police to consider the victim as a gay person, said Gadingan.

The victim had no physical injuries but he was hogtied and his neck was also tied with a rope. A cloth was also placed in his mouth.
