FIRE victims of barangays Guizo and Mantuyong were given three days to demolish the houses they rebuilt as Mandaue City Hall prepares to reblock the fire sites.

Tension arose when Mandaue City Hall personnel and police arrived at the fire site at 9 am Monday.

While the residents are not against the reblocking, they lamented that they cannot head to the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).

One of the fire vicims named Ann Marie Paquibot of barangay Guizo said her mother is ill and her condition may worsen if she transfers to the CICC.

Mandaue City Legal Officer John Eddu said 21 houses were rebuilt at the fire site. There were 63 policemen that secured the area.
