THE M. LHUILIER-CEBU team that will represent the city in the upcoming Countrywide Basketball League (CWBL) will be holding an open tryout to find players for its team today at 12 noon at the Cebu Coliseum.

According to multi-titled Head Coach Raul “Yayoy” Alcoseba, they are targeting players that have legitimate local roots to represent Cebu when the CWBL tips off on August 7.

The M. Lhuillier-Cebu will be up against some tough competition led by Cebu Landmasters-Bogo City, Mighty Sports Bulacan, PacMan-General Santos City, Anak ng Laguna-Laguna and Filoil Flying V-Davao City.

Alcoseba bared that they have already targeted some players but have yet to finalize the roster. One name that the veteran mentor bared he is very interested in getting is former PBA guard Roger Yap. Though already 38, the veteran guard from the University of San Jose-Recoletos who has played for five PBA squads, would be a vital asset for Alcoseba’s system which relies heavily on guard play.
