About 131 drug pushers and peddlers take an oath to change for the better with Oplan TukHang.

ABOUT 131 persons linked to drug use and peddling who surrendered were presented by the Mandaue City Police Office to the public Monday morning.

Mandaue City police deputy chief for operations Supt. Jonathan Abella said those who were issued warrants shall serve while those with no warrants will be offered assistance such as employment. “They were profiled and we will check who are those with warrants and we will monitor them from time to time,” Abella said.

They surrendered to various police precincts following the implementation of Oplan TukHang (Toktok Hangyo) in which police held house to house visits to homes of suspected users and drug dealers and told them to give up or face sanctions, Vice Mayor Carlo Fortuna said the city will provide those who surrendered without being issued warrants with livelihood.
