LAST June 24, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino welcomed the newest addition to their family as they treated their special guests and members of the media to a sumptuous dinner at La Gondola Restaurant.

Cebu City’s premier hotel now has a new general manager in the person of Anders Hallden, a Swedish national who has over two decades of experience as a chef under his belt. At a very young age of 27, Hallden as attained the topmost position in the kitchen and has worked in fifteen cities in nine countries for the past 25 years. Going around different countries in Asia has earned Hallden the adeptness in cooking up recipes that every Asian palate will like and, as a matter of fact, served in the Hotel in 2006 to 2007 as its executive chef. He also wears the hat of a father to two kids and a husband to his Cebuana spouse.

Waterfront Cebu also introduced their newest executive chef Giovanni Sias who showcased his innovative culinary creations during the celebratory dinner. A chef with 27 years of experience, Sias hails from Italy and, as was confirmed by himself, loves to experiment on new recipe ideas. He has worked in his home country as well as in Switzerland, Holland, and New York City where he owes much of his learning for the past 12 years of his career.
