THE CEBU Lady Dragons ruled the 3rd International Ladies’ 10’s Rugby Festival after routing the Manila Mayhem in the finals, 10-0, last Saturday at the Cebu International School (CIS) football field in Talamban, Cebu City.
The Cebuanas suffocated the visiting team with their defense and gained most of ball possessions to win the game and improve from their fourth place finish last year.
National Team players Dixie Yu and Aiumi Ono led the Lady Dragons scoring one try each in the first and second half, respectively.
After running undefeated during the eliminations, the Lady Dragons posted a 15-5 win over CWB Phoenix to book their finals berth.
The Mayhem, on the other hand, routed NTU Singapore, 31-0, to book a finals seat against the Cebu-based team.
