CEBUANA runner Samantha Gem Limos punched her way to the finals of the athletics competition in the Children of Asia International Sports Games yesterday at Yakutsk, Russia.
The University of Cebu (UC) sprinter Limos, who is a Batang Pinoy gold medalist, clocked 12.67 seconds in Heat 4 to wind up seventh in the 100-meter sprint Girls category.
Limos looks to go all out in the last round tonight as she hopes to duplicate her Palarong Pambansa record of 12.1 seconds.
Compatriot Veruel Verdadero started his campaign in the 100-meter Boys division with a third place finish in Heat 1 with a time of 11.50 seconds. He needs to finish in the top ten in the next two heats to be able to join Limos in the final round.
