ATM scam victimized 7 persons in Naga

Seven persons claimed to have fallen victims to the automated teller machine (ATM) scam in Naga City, Cebu and lost a total of P423,000.

Reports received by the police station in Naga showed that the scam occurred in an ATM outlet inside a mall and another in bank’s branch in the city’s Barangay East Poblacion.

The victims claimed that they withdrew money from these ATM machines on Nov. 16.

A few hours later, money was withdrawn from their accounts in these two ATM machines but they didn’t make the withdrawals, the victims told the police.

The Naga police were conducting an investigation to identify and arrest the culprits.
