THE UNIVERSITY of the Visayas (UV) and Abellana National School (ANS) reaffirmed their mastery of the 3×3 circuit as they gain titles in the Central Visayas Leg of the SBP 3X3 Under-15 Pambansang Tatluhan last Saturday at the Sisters of Mary School Boystown in Minglanilla.
The very same schools won the under-17 class of this very same competition back in April.
Last weekend’s tournament proved no different as UV-A took home the boys title after beating Warriors Witness, 15-8, in the finals.
Abellana-A on the other hand, collared the girls’ crown with an 18-10 win in the finals over Compre-A.
Darlien Ragasajo, Melody Empasis, Florence Jill Talas, Aleigha Fre Salado composed the title-winning Abellana squad.
UV’s quartet was composed of Steve Nash Enriquez, Samuel Melicor Jr., Franzel Dave Basalo and Neil Fajardo.
Both UV and Abellana won P10,000 cash and will represent Central Visayas in the national finals on October 27-28 at the Robinson’s Place in Manila
