Cebuanos dominated the 10 Under Unisex and girls divisions of the 23rd JRG Gullas Tennis Cup, which came to an end on Tuesday afternoon at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.
Aside from the 10 Under Unisex, the Cebuanos also won all of the titles at stake in the girls division except for the 16-Under, which was won by Bliss Bayking of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Tiffany Claire Nocos brought home two trophies, one for winning the 14 Under title and the other for finishing as runner-up to Bayking in the 16 Under.
The Cebu rout was started by 10-year-old Aaron Kevin Tabura, who clinched the 10 Under Unisex title, 2-4, 4-0, 5-3, against Shara Louise Paliwag of Valencia, Negros Oriental.
CJ Thalia Suson of Liloan bagged the 13 Under title with a 6-3, 6-4, outsmarting of Faith Kiarra Banico of Siquijor.
Nocos then took her first trophy of the day with a 6-3, 6-1, thrashing of Corazon Lambonao of Ormoc in the 14 Under.
She, however, succumbed to Bayking in a tightly fought 16 Under finals, 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 8-10.
Elizabeth Abarquez then swept fellow Cebuano Zethley Mae Alferez, 6-2, 6-0, for the 18 Under title.
