THE GORILLA Boot Camp will host its biggest obstacle racing so far when The Big Gorilla Challenge comes to Cebu on September 2.

The Gorilla Boot Camp is located in Sitio Latasan, Barangay Labogon in Mandaue City. It is a five-hectare obstacle course facility which features more than 20 challenges, including signature courses only found in the venue.

According to one of its owners, Antonette Veloso, the facility went through extensive redesigning to prepare for The Big Gorilla Challenge, which is the third obstacle course racing event in Cebu this year. The camp also hosted the first obstacle race last May.

“Because we successfully introduced it to the public last May and staged a very successful obstacle course race, we were able to draw new partners on the business side, which for us will further develop and improve the facility for future events,” said Veloso in a press conference yesterday at the Big Hotel in Mandaue City.

She was joined by obstacle course challenge ambassadors’ Carlo Sumayang, one of the organizers of the Spartan Race Philippines, renowned fitness coach Junerey Andales, MetaFit founder Alan Choachuy, and corporate partner Victor Medina.

A whopping P20,000 cash prize awaits the top male and female finishers in the elite 6-kilometer category. There will also be a 6k open category.

One can register at The Veranda in Parkmall Mandaue, Alburs in Barangay Kasambagan or visit Race.ph/Gorilla for more information.
