Mika dela Cruz and Nash Aguas in a photo from their childhood
EVEN before they started dating, actor Nash Aguas reveals that actress Mika dela Cruz is his childhood crush.
Last Monday, the 20-year-old Kapamilya actor made several Instagram posts narrating how his feelings for the 19-year-old Kapuso actress started.
Aguas first posted a photo taken in 2007 during an opening number in defunct afternoon show “Wowowee” hosted by former Kapamilya host Willie Revillame.
“Tapos nung nag-commercial gap na, may tinuturo ako sa taas tapos sinasabi ko ‘Diyan dati nagtrabaho si Mommy.’ Hindi talaga dun nagtrabaho si Mommy. Sinabi ko lang yun para may mapagusapan tayo at saka para ma akbayan kita. Eh wala eh. Crush
kita nun eh. Tapos kinapalan ko na yung mukha ko sa mga sumusunod,” he narrated.
Since then, Aguas tried to act gentlemanly towards dela Cruz.
He remembers the times when he carried dela Cruz’s heavy backpack and treated wounds she sustained in one of the “Goin’ Bulilit” episodes.
Aguas also shared a photo with dela Cruz taken at Forbidden City in China.
“Takang taka ka. Kasi gusto ko gayahin natin yung pose ni Jayden Smith at nung partner niya sa Karate Kid. Tinatarayan mo pa din ako,” he added.
He then cited past moments when they played at Timezone in Trinoma as well as sleeping over at dela Cruz’s room filled with witchcraft storybooks.
“Ilan lang to sa mga pinagdaanan namin. Pero nagsimula lahat dahil naglakas ako ng loob na umakbay,” he said.
Aguas said that he and dela Cruz stopped communicating when he moved to America in 2012.
“Nawalan ng communication. Pagbalik ko, awkward na kasi di na kami bata. Ang dami din nangyari. Lumipat siya ng ibang station. Tapos nag move on na kami sa kanya kanya naming buhay,” the Kapamilya actor said.
The actor also revealed in his post that from December 2016 to August 2017 he was broken.
“Ito yung mga panahon na sobrang down ako. Durog yung confidence ko. Durog yung pagkatao ko. Lagi kaming magkasama ni @igiboyflores31 tapos iyakan lang kami ng iyakan,” Aguas said.
It was in August 2017 at Trinoma, Quezon City when Aguas and dela Cruz’ paths crossed again.
“Sa bandang huli, siya din pala ang bubuo sa akin,” he said.
Last week, Aguas confirmed that he is dating dela Cruz, three months after Kapamilya actress Alexa Ilacad confessed that their love team is over.
Meanwhile, dela Cruz also shared their love story in an Instagram post.
They met when they appeared in the movie, “Tiyanaks” in 2007 and got reunited in 2011 when they joined “Goin’ Bulilit.”
One day, a family member of dela Cruz caught her texting an “I Love You” message to Aguas.
“Kaya naman natakot ako at ginawan ako ng kontrata ng mga kapatid ko na bawal mag-boyfriend hanggang mag-18 ako. Dun ako nag start maging sobrang boyish at sobrang na bro zone ko si Nashie,” she said.
Dela Cruz recalls their childhood memories like playing the online game Crossfire, a trip to Tagaytay, and enjoying each other’s company under the rain.
“Halos lahat ng masasayang memories nung bata ako kami ang magkasama. Magkaibigan kami pero sobrang magkaaway din. ASO’T PUSA to be exact,” she added.
The Kapuso teen actress never thought she would meet Aguas again.
“Pero sa mga pinagdaanan naming dalawa individually, nag-mature kami ng biglang isang araw, pa-children’s book na to eh no. Nagkita kami at… boom! To be continued. Salamat sa 12 years,” she ended her post.
