Members of the budget committee of the Cebu City Council will be meeting with representatives from the executive department led by executive assistant Jose Daluz III today to discuss the supplemental budget 1 of Mayor Michael Rama.

Councilor Margot Osmeña, the budget committee chairperson and the council’s majority floor leader, said they wanted to be clarified how much Rama would want in his SB1 and how he intends to spend this.

Osmeña said that former councilor Daluz mentioned during their earlier talk that  at least P60 million to P70 million for SB1  for the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

But Osmeña is uncertain if SB 1 will be spent to fund the demolition of the old hospital structure or to start the construction of a new one.

“We are open to passing SB1 but we want to know how much they need and how they want the money spent,” Osmeña told Cebu Daily News.
