Leylam FC eyes Ceres Cup 7 A-Side football title

CEBU CITY, Philippines – The Leylam FC is hoping to improve its performance in the ongoing 6th Ceres Cup 7 A-Side Football Festival in Bacolod, Western Visayas.

This is the third time that Leylam FC is joining the Ceres Cup and it is aiming to cop the Men’s Open title this time. 

The team finished as the runner-up on its first try but exited in the quarterfinals stage last year.

Leylam will be sending two teams—Leylam FC A and Leylam FC B.

Leylam FC A will be manned by Benedick Saligan, Ranulfo Colina, Rafi Llorente, Kore Kore,  Dandan Villarico, Famous Ene,  Pinto Kabulo, Ian Colina, Jason Dumagtoy, Manjo Mayormita and Rene Sanchez.

Leylam FC B, on the other hand, will have Virgilio Manayon, Emmanuel Ekondayu, Noel Madrag, Ayi Ybanez, Reggie Cisneros, Mikel Pacite, Harou Aoki, Leo Maquiling, Filimon Sabella, Pogba Shina and Edmar Galacio.

The team will be coached by Oliver “Bingbing” Colina who also helmed the squad to its third Men’s Open title in the Aboitiz Football Cup last December.

Leylam FC A will play in Group D and will go up against Dumaguete Katilaw FC, City of Kabankalan FC, Carabao FC, Guinevere FC while Leylam FC B is under Group E and will be facing UNO-R MF Team A, Tanjay FC Ting Passing, Barbados FC B and EVSU FC. /dbs
