FOUR ministerial meetings of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit are being planned to be held in Cebu from August to October this year.
Representatives of the Apec National Organizing Council came to the provincial capitol yesterday to get updates on the provincial government’s preparations for the meetings.
“The plan is, although not really sure yet, is to have four ministerial meetings in Cebu,” said Patrick Hillado, assistant to the deputy general manager for conference management services. The finance, structural reform, transportation, and energy ministerial meetings will be held in Cebu. The finance ministerial meeting will be held from Sept. 9 to 11. The third Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) will also be held in Cebu from Aug. 24 to Sept. 6.
