Five rising Cebuano ring warriors will test their mettle in the upcoming Boxing Watch: Dark Horse First Championship fight card that is scheduled to unfold on May 15 at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

The fight card will serve as the Philippine qualifier for much bigger competitions where the winning Filipino fighters will be pitted against Latino boxers next year.

A total of five Cebuano boxers will be featured in the fight card.

In the main event, the unbeaten Ardie Boyose (14-0-1, 10KOs) of the Noy Pacing Flores Stable will go up against veteran Balweg Bangoyan (19-9, 8KOs) of Davao City for an eight-round showdown under the super featherweight division.

In the featherweight division, another unbeaten warrior, Neil John Tabanao (10-0, 7KOs) will try to extend his clean run against Rey Perez (19-6, 4KOs) of Zamboanga in the co-main event set for eight rounds.

Omega Boxing Gym’s ace prospect Jhack “Golden Boy” Tepora (19-0, 8KOs) will also display his dreaded uppercuts in the card as he locks horns with Manila’s Roman Canto (10-5-2, 5KOs) under the super bantamweight division while stablemate Jerry Castroverde (5-0, 3KOs) will battle another unbeaten fighter in Remar Metuda (5-0, 2KOs) of General Santos City in the featherweight division.

And lastly, Kenny Demecillo (8-3-1, 5KOs) will join his fellow Omega Boxing Gym boxers as he fights Cagayan de Oro City’s Freddie Bisande (5-1-2, 2KOs) in the featherweight division.
