CEBU CITY, Philippines – A 34-year-old man landed in jail after he was accused of killing the boyfriend of his wife, whom he had been separated from for months.

The brutal crime happened in Brgy. Lorega San Miguel, Cebu City last Sunday, February 4, 2024.

The suspect, based on investigations from the Parian Police Station, reportedly caught his wife sleeping with her boyfriend in their house on Sunday dawn.

CDN Digital opted not to divulge the names of all parties involved for the safety and security of their families.

Apparently, due to jealousy, the 34-year-old suspect stabbed not only his wife but also her 30-year-old boyfriend. The latter, however, sustained multiple stab wounds that ultimately led to his death, investigators said.

The victim was even rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The suspect’s 31-year-old wife was also wounded during the attack. She immediately reported the crime to the nearest police station and claimed that she had been separated from her husband for months already.

The victim, on the other hand, recently ended his relationship with his former live-in partner.

Police then conducted a hot pursuit operation. The suspect eventually surrendered himself to the police on Sunday.
