At least 22 employees of the Cebu Puericulture Center and Maternity Hospital, Inc. (CPCMHI) will only have one meal a day starting Tuesday to protest against the management’s decision to grant a P1-increase in their salary last year.

Fundador Alforque, vice president of Cebu Maternity Hospital Employees Union, said they would either eat breakfast or lunch until management heed to their demand.

“We will not stop unless this issue is resolved,” he said.

The dispute stemmed from management’s refusal to grant their request for an increase of P25 last year and P16 this year. Instead, management only granted a salary adjustment of one peso last year.
