TWO-TIME Batang Pinoy gold medalist Elizabeth Abarquez hopes to complete a two-title romp as she locks horns with some of Cebu’s finest netters in the CitiGreen Junior Tennis Cup Finals today at the CitiGreen Tennis Resort.

In yesterday’s action, Abarquez sustained her tip-top form as she dominated Noelle Mae Urgello, 6-2, 6-2, to move into the 16-U finals, where she will take on the winner between Kristine Salimbangon and Ellaine Rose Bahonsua.

Last Tuesday, the Palarong Pambansa-bound Abarquez put up a stellar performance as she rose from the dead to beat the second-ranked Kristin Rene Salimbangon, 4-6, 6-2, 10-8, in the 18-U girls category.

Abarquez will battle in the 18-U finals the victor of the Shyne Villareal-Precious Larriz Coderos semis battle, which was being played as of press time.

Also putting up solid performances for Cebu were Chad Connor Cuizon, Venz Alforque and University of Cebu product Marc Nicole Suson.

Cuizon and Alforque grabbed their spot in the 10-Unisex and 14-boys finals, respectively.  Cuizon defeated Vincent Joseph Cañete, 4-0, 4-2, while Alforque downed Ashton Benne Villanueva, 6-1, 6-2.  Suson pounded Marc Pradel, 6-1, 6-2, in the 16-U boys category.

As of press time, University of the Visayas ace Norman Enriquez was battling fellow Cebuano Francis Hidalgo in the 18-U boys semifinals.
