Two men were caught in the act of indiscriminate firing while the police were patroling Barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City last Thursday.
Jason Ocarol, 21, and Romel Intong, 21, both residents of Sitio Cambiohan, Barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City, were arrested after a brief chase at 3:30 p.m.
Insp. Alcon Escosura, Marigondon police station chief, said they were patroling the area when they heard gunfire nearby.
When they checked, they found Ocarol and Intong who fled when they approached.
Escosura said they confiscated a .38 revolver from each of the suspects.
The suspects were detained at the Marigongondon police station pending the filing of charges.
