Davao off roaders rule Philippine Tough Truck Challenge in Argao

OFF-ROAD drivers from 4Wheelers Davao emerged victorious in the Philippine Tough Truck Challenge XVI held over the weekend in Argao town, south Cebu.

4Wheelers Davao’s Jiggy Rodriguez, Cesar Daquil and Reynan Jayme claimed the top three places in the competition organized by Argao town Mayor Stanley Caminero and the National Association of Filipino Off-Roaders headed by its president Ramon Toong.

Rodriguez topped the competition for a second straight time while Daquil and Jayme placed second and third, respectively, out of the 20 off-road drivers who joined the event.

Rodriguez had an accumulated time of 23 minutes and 37 seconds, Daquil clocked 23:54 while Jayme finished in 24:42.

The winning drivers were determined according to their accumulated time after completing the three tracks that the organizers prepared. The driver with the shortest accumulated time was declared the winner.

Kapampangan Racing Team’s Edison Dungca placed fourth after he finished in 25:42 accumulated time while Ormoc 4Wheelers’ Christian Doyson settled for fifth place with a time of 26:14.

Sixth to 10th placers were Peter Garbes, Bernoven Naval, Art Benedict Ong, Marlou Juan and Robert Abas respectively.
