FOLLOW THE CROWD

A crowd gathered outside a clothing store inside a mall in Cebu City, hoping to catch a glimpse of some visiting Miss Universe candidates.

A reporter picked one out of the crowd and asked what he was doing there. “I don’t know. I just saw people come here, so I followed,” the mall-goer said.

SHAMEFUL

While the behavior of some Sinulog revelers last Sunday were objectionable, there were others who felt that shaming them in social media is wrong.

One netizen called for a halt to sharing photos of these people, saying it was “shameful” and doesn’t do anything to help them change their ways.

AFFECTED

Two friends argued on whether police went overboard when they ordered the shutdown of cell sites during the Miss Universe swimsuit event in Lapu-Lapu City.

One of them said it was understandable when they did that during the Sinulog because millions of people joined the activities.

The other retorted, “Why are you so affected? Nobody texts you anyway.”
