PENSIVE

An official raised his eyebrow on a photo of himself in a newspaper which showed him being grilled during a public hearing.

He said contrary to the photo’s caption, he wasn’t pensive at the time. “I was actually happy,” he said while smiling.

A reporter told him he should smile more often so he won’t come across as pensive.

CIGARETTE DISPOSAL

Prison personnel had to examine every pack of cigarette they found scattered on the ground near a facility housing juvenile delinquents.

This came after they saw shabu in one of the cigarette packs. They also had to dispose of all the cigarettes; and one of them, a smoker, said it was hard on his part to do so.

“Sakit ako dughan pagguba aning mga sigarilyo da (My heart is breaking for disposing all these cigarettes),” he said, laughing.

WASTE WOES

An official was alarmed over the inclusion of a septage plant in one of the deals between her city and the province.

With no septage plant, she said the city will have to decide where it would dump its sewage wastes.
When asked how this would be solved, the official can only shake her head since she was among those who approved the deal.
