DEFENDING champions University of San Carlos (USC) will look to make it two in a row while last year’s finalist the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) hopes to finally solve the puzzle that is the Warriors as both teams meet in the Cesafi football finals for the fourth time in league history today at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) football field.

USC and USPF have had some fierce championship battles over the years with the Warriors barely surviving the Panthers with a 6-5 penalty shootout win in 2011, another 5-3 shootout victory in the 2014 finals before crushing the latter last year also via penalty shootout, 7-6.

Both teams made their way back to the finals this season after winding up in the top two in the double round-robin elimination with USC finishing with 14 points, ahead of USPF’s 11.
