Former Mandaue City mayor Alfredo Ouano died of prostate cancer at the Perpetual Succour Hospital at 10:32 a.m. today after being confined there for several months.

His death came a month after he temporarily left the hospital to celebrate his 90th birthday. The former mayor was diagnosed with prostate cancer 20 years ago.
