Ouano wants Luigi to seek 2nd term

IF it were up to him, Provincial Board (PB) Member Thadeo Ouano would want incumbent sixth district Rep. Gabriel Luis “Luigi” Quisumbing to seek reelection next year.

“It will be good if he runs again. If I were to decide for him, it will be to the advantage of the district if he would maintain his post,” he said.

Ouano, sixth district representative in the PB, did not categorically say whether he will run for Congress in the 2016 elections.

“It will depend on the party,” he told reporters yesterday.

Both Ouano and Quisumbing are under the yellow banner of the Liberal Party (LP).

Ouano said that whatever the decision of the party is, “we will abide.”

Ouano also said LP is considering to field his daughter, Emmarie “Lollipop” Ouano-Dizon, to run for Mandaue City mayor.

Incumbent Mayor Jonas Cortes is on his last term.

“She is being considered because she is the number-one councilor but nothing is final yet,” said Ouano.
