Owned and operated by Jimmy Durano, a renowned chef who has a vast experience in culinary arts, both local and international, German Haus is your new haven for all traditional German food.
The restaurant opened its doors to the public last November 8. It serves soup, appetizers, desserts, main courses, and drinks.
“This is a really nice place to hang out. Its location is close to everything as we are situated right in the heart of the City. The entire building is shared by other establishments like the Rescue Bar where our guests can also enjoy a different level of entertainment,” says Chef Jimmy.
Among its specialties are German style whole chicken legs with spicy sauce and fried rice, fresh mixed salad with yogurt dressing sauce, grilled pork steak with grilled tomato and fried potato, cheese Hungarian sausage and saurkraut with mashed potato and brown sauce, pork loin rags with mushroom and onions, fresh herbs, and potato patties.
German Haus also serves homemade delights such as brownies with hot chocolate sauce, apple cake with vanilla ice cream and more. They taste even better if paired with coffee and tea.
After all, as mentioned previously, it is obvious that different types of meat are popular in the country. Some Filipino dishes also take a good share of the German Haus’ table, so the dining experience will be more enjoyable for the local visitors.

Visit German Haus at Unit 2-B 2nd Floor, The Forum Bldg., Archbishop Reyes Ave., Lahug, Cebu City. It is open for lunch and dinner, from 12 noon to 2 pm and from 6 pm to 11 pm (from Monday to Friday) and from 12 noon to 2 pm and 6 pm to 1 am (on weekends). It also accepts reservations for buffets, parties and other functions.
