A COLLISION involving three motorcycles last Friday caused the death of one person and injuries to four others along the national road of Barangay Ilihan, Toledo City.

Ronardo Lahay-Lahay, 32, of Barangay Dumlog, Toledo City, died after the motorcycle he was driving slammed into two oncoming motorcycles as he negotiated a curved portion of the road, said PO3 Rebucato Gesite of the Toledo Police Station.

Clover Tanada, Lahay-Lahay’s backrider, the drivers of the other two motorcycles — Pablito Cantalejo, 29, of Barangay Ilihan and Joel Sabalande, 27, of Balamban town — and Cantalejo’s wife, Katchirie, were injured in the collision.

Witnesses told Gesite that the speeding Lahay-Lahay, who was heading north from Barangay Poblacion, suddenly lost control of his motorcycle as he negotiated a curved portion of the road and slammed into two other oncoming motorcycles.
