THE Family and Recovery Management (Farm Group of Facilities) joined the Rotary Club Advocacy Fair held at the Ayala Center Cebu on Aug. 19 to 21, we learn from Ramon Escaño Jr., the Farm Group’s coordinator for marketing and events.
Presently, the Farm Group of Facilities has four recovery centers in Cebu.
Other centers are located in Tacloban, Bohol and recently in Iloilo for a total of seven all in all.
The recovery centers deal with assisting and guiding individuals to get rehabilitated from drug addiction, alcoholism, gambling disorders and anger management.
The facilities cater to different needs and strata of society like high end for class A and B, low end, women’s exclusive, behavioral disorders and even Tokhang surrenderers.

From Johanna Mangubat of Cebu Centre for Dance comes the following info: Last July 29–31, the Philippine Dance Cup held a competition for amateur groups and promising young dancers from all over the country.
The PDC is a “nonstock, nonprofit organization” committed to developing the competing landscape in the country and supporting the growing number of dance educators dedicated to enhancing their teaching and mentoring skills.
The competition is divided into different categories and modules. To name a few: Classical Solo/Ensemble for Juniors and Seniors, Contemporary Solo/Ensemble for Junior and Seniors, Professional Solo Division and Street Dance competition.
Cebu Centre for Dance entered two students in the Classical Solo Female Division, 14–18 years category. It is the very first time that the school took part.
With no first place ranking, Sabrina Ruth Bogard ranked third overall, and Honneyville Jeanne Boiser ranked fifth overall in their category out of a total of 56 competitors from different prestigious ballet schools around the Philippines.
The PDC competition was held in the Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez Theater of De La Salle College of St. Benilde on July 29 and at the SBA theater on July 30 and 31.
Adjudicators were: Elizabeth Rae – former soloists of the Royal ballet, Oakland Ballet, London Theatre, Compania Balletto Classico, Ostogotta Ballet and Frankurt Ballet, now much sought out master teacher, examiner, mentor, coach and repetiteur in the United Kingdom.
Ricardo Ella – former artist of the Dance Concert Company, Dance Theater Philippines, principal artist of the New Zealand Ballet, coryphee of the Australian Ballet; co-founder of Onstage Artists and Christine Walsch Enterprises; current managing director of the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet.
Ernest Mandap – former principal dancer of Ballet Philippines, Jeune Ballet de France and the Claude Brumachon Company; co-founder of the Company Anima, and multiawarded choreographer.
