Olympic silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz is in Cebu to serve as a guest speaker in this Sunday’s “Process Of Building Olympians” seminar to be held at the City Sports Club Cebu.

Diaz arrived Cebu at 8:45 a.m. and went straight to the Epic Performance and Fitness headquarters at the Oakridge Pavillion along A.S Fortuna St. In Mandaue City for a short interview session with the media.

According to the 25-year-old Zamboangeña who snatched the silver medal in the women’s 58-kilogram division of the women’s weight lifting event in the Rio Olympics, she is here in town to inspire Cebuanos to chase their dreams, not just in the Olympics, but also in life.

“I will also tell them my story of where I started as a weight lifter and how I became an Olympian.”
