THREE persons were arrested by the police after being caught in the possession of more than P200,000 worth of alleged shabu and a firearm during a buy-bust operation in a motel in Lapu-Lapu City Tuesday evening.

Romeo Amistad, 29; Valeriano Degamo, 47; and Elmer Tagsip, 44, all from Cordova town, were detained at Lapu-Lapu City Police headquarters pending the filing of charges against them.

PSI Joey Bicoy, Deputy Chief of City Intelligence Branch (CIB) of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, received information that the suspects were doing illegal drug transactions inside a motel in Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.

After their surveillance turned out to be positive, the police conducted the buy-bust operation and arrested the suspects at the motel.

Police recovered the P1,500 marked money, suspected shabu worth P212,000, .357 revolver with five live bullets and P1,510 cash believed to be proceeds from the drug trade.
