THE Royal Brothers and ASPA continued their reign atop Division B as they collected victories over separate opponents in the 1st URBAN Basketball League – Island Premium Paints Squad Cup 2016 last weekend at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball courts.
The Royal Brothers annihilated the T-United, 91–48, behind the flawless shooting performance of Jondel Muralla who scored 16 points on a perfect 8-of-8 shooting from the field.
Meanwhile, ASPA also dominated Sneaks, 80–62, as Ritchie Cesa scored 18 points. Both ASPA and the Royal Brothers hold similar 3-0 win-loss records.
In other matches, Princess grabbed their second win in three games with an 81–70 conquest of the Hotshots. The Junkies also evened up their record at 1–1 with a 78–73 win over the winless Oasis. Sean Povadora led the Junkies with 26 points.
In Division A, RNK Builders slipped past Mighty Bee, 68–65, ITC won over Fighter Wine 71-65 behind the 25 points of Kenneth Abrantes.
Veco also clobbered the LC Boyz, 74–58, with Nheil Ibarita tallying 17 points and five rebounds. The Young Guns also got 20 from Mark Elizondo which was enough to power them past Kaixon, 76–74.
