A FEMALE resident who tried to help put out a fire lost her valuables to a burglar at sitio Tambis barangay Inuburan, Naga City at 1 am yesterday.
Damiana Barbon, who lived in nearby sitio Atis, helped put out a fire that hit a store owned by Cornelia Lao.
At that time a burglar broke into her house and ran off with her flat screen TV and cell phone.
No one was hurt in the fire and damages were pegged by firefighters at P36,000.
Police suspected arson as the motive but security camera footage near Lao’s home showed no one entering her house at the time of the fire.
