Retired General and now Daanbantayan Mayor Vicente Loot was once again named by President Rodrigo Duterte as among the politicians linked to illegal drugs.

Loot was mentioned by Duterte in his speech during a visit at 51D Headquarters in Cauayan, Isabela Saturday afternoon.

Duterte said that Loot, who was assigned in Regions 1, 2, 3 and 4  was allegedly involved in illegal drugs.

In a text message to Cebu Daily News, Loot said he had never been assigned there.

Duterte last July named Loot as one of the five police generals whom Duterte accused of allegedly coddling drug lords.

Loot had denied the allegations.
