Hermita sustained two bullet wounds on his left arm caused by suspect Ariel Cababan, who ranks in the Danao City police’s drug watchlist.

Another recipient was SPO1 Erwin Pepito of the Borbon police precinct who was shot by a robber in Mandaue City last week. Both Hermita and Pepito also received P30,000 each.
