“THIS is a test of the body and mind endurance of the contestants, and it is highly representative of the cars that our company is renowned for.” said Carla Kiamko, Sales Manager – Subaru Cebu Branch while describing the objective of this year’s Subaru Palm Challenge Philippine Faceoff – Cebu Edition which took place on September 3 at the Ayala Terraces.

It was a unique challenge of human willpower and brawn as participants were made to put their right hand on their respective assigned areas on the surface of the car while their left hands were kept occupied with side-tests that were abating, if not distracting, their strength and focus on the main game.

Michael Yap, a fitness coach, was hailed as this year’s victor after over 12 hours in the competition. This is his third win since 2014 in the Cebu Edition, and he will be one among the ten contenders who will be sent to Singapore to represent the country for the International Subaru Palm Challenge which will be held on November.

The top 10 contenders were also given consolation prizes and awards. The Davao Edition will be held next month to complete the leg of the Philippine Face-off. For more details, you may visit their Facebook page or go to their office at AS Fortuna Street Banilad, Mandaue City. /PR
