Bombardier Cebu continued to support the three public schools in the northern Cebu by donating stand and wall fans last September 21.
The recipients of the donation were Tapilon Central Elementary School, Kawit Elementary School and San Remigio National High School.
These schools were among those badly ravaged by typhoon Yolanda in 2013, and were the beneficiaries of the two-classroom school buildings.
The donated school buildings were constructed using the funds raised by employees worldwide and then matched by the company.
This second donation of the stand and wall fans demonstrates Bombardier Transportation’s commitment to support local communities, and heed the school administrators’ need for a more conducive learning environment for their students.
According to FSSO head David Douzenel, “It has been great to visit the three schools and six classrooms that we have financed in the north of Cebu. Almost three years after this terrible typhoon, we have seen how our donation has allowed them to stand up.”
The school administrators, teachers, and students also expressed their sincerest gratitude not just to Bombardier Transportation as a company, but to all of its employees globally as well, who made all of this possible.
