The hearing for the issuance of a 72-hour temporary restraining order against the operation of the Inayawan dumpsite is scheduled on Oct. 24.

Both the petitioner, who are representing the public affected by the operation of the site, and the respondent city government, are encouraged to amicably settle and enter into a win-win solution.

They were told to prepare their respective proposals by the next hearing for a possible compromise agreement.

The Court of Appeals 19th Division, composed of Justices Edgardo de los Santos, Gabriel Ingles, and Edward Contreras, recommended that the city consider renegotiating with the Consolacion landfill owner as a temporary solution while they look for an alternative site.
