AFTER a successful elimination round, defending Cesafi football secondary champion Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) begins its semis stint as it faces the University of San Carlos-Basic Education (USC-BED) today at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) football pitch.

DBTC finished unbeaten in four games in the elimination round to finish as the top-seeded team entering the semis. It is trying to duplicate its 2-1 victory over the same USC-BED team in the elimination in order to advance to the finals.

The other semis pairing pits the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) and last year’s runner-up Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC).

Both USPF and SHS-AdC finished the elimination round with a 2-1-1 (win-loss-draw) record. Their elimination round encounter ended in a 3-3 draw.

Winners in the semis games scheduled in the morning will face each other in the finals.

In the afternoon, the elimination round continues in the collegiate division with University of the Visayas (UV) facing USC and the defending champions University of Cebu (UC) taking on the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R).
