THE DON Bosco Technical College (DBTC) lost to the defending champions Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo City, 1-3, in the championship match of the 2016 Pintaflores U-17 Invitational Tournament held in San Carlos City.
It was the second straight finals loss of the Bosconians, who lost to the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) in the finals of the Cesafi football tournament.
DBTC made a huge run in the elimination round, winning all of its games. It won against Abellana National School (ANS), 5-1, and beat host team, San Carlos City, 1-0, to advance to the championships.
Miguel Mercader scored the lone goal for DBTC in the finals.
