CEBUANA netter Hannah Espinosa was unable to continue her run for the title as she absorbed a 6-2, 6-1 loss to second-ranked Khim Iglupas in the semifinal round of the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS-PEPP) Pintaflores Festival regional tennis tournament yesterday in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Espinosa had a stellar run in the tournament, beating the likes of Bliss Bayking, 6-4, 6-2, and Marianne De Guzman, 6-3, 6-1, before stumbling in the semis.

Espinosa’s loss sealed the title hopes of Cebuano netters in the meet as Norman Enriquez and Elizabeth Abarquez have been booted out early in the competition.
