Fire destroys six homes in Pardo

A fire destroyed six houses in Barangay Pardo, Cebu City past 11:40 a.m. on Saturday.

Senior Fire Officer Rogelio Valencia of the Cebu City Fire Department said the fire started at the second floor of the house owned by 66-year-old Ester Mariquit.

“We have yet to determine the actual cause of the fire but maybe it has something to do with a busted electrical connection,” he said.

Mariquit managed to run but sustained burns on her hands. Firefighters received the alarm at 11:40p.m. it was put under control at 12:14 p.m.
