TECHNOLOGY has become more and more a platform for advertising and marketing in the recent years. In its effort to bring the business community to the latest technological breakthroughs and stay relevant with digital times, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), in partnership with Cebu Digital Hub, mounts another edition of Techtalk: iConnect.
The interactive seminar will be held on November 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Materials Innovation Centre in DOST Banilad S and T Complex.
The event will cover social media strategies as a platform for product and service marketing. This includes paid traffic on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. Resource person is Jun Baranggan, a Google AdWords certified professional and the CEO of Cebu Digital Hub.
“As a business owner or marketer, you don’t have infinite time and resources to be everything to everyone. You can’t afford to be on every social site, but you can’t afford to ignore them either,” says Baranggan.
The Philippine digital snapshot as of January 2016 estimates that there are 48 million active social media users in the country. The comprehensive study was done by We Are Social, a global agency that combines digital media, marketing and PR for effective advertising.
The opportunity for social networking has risen, giving rise to the importance of “choosing the right sites that work for you, your business goals, and your customer wants—and then to engage on them,” emphasized Baranggan.
