Recoletos Pilipinas, Guards win RCBL matches
RECOLETOS Pilipinas (RP) nipped the Campus Planners, 103-97, Saturday in the 11th Recoletos De Cebu Basketball League (RCBL) at the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Basak Campus.
Ranel Embalzado led RP with 27 points while Jason Mendez and Roland Aredidon paced the Planners with 31 and 30 points, respectively.
RP improved to a 3-1 while the Planners fell to 2-2.
In the other game, the undefeated Guards rolled past the Our Lady of Consolation Parish-Recoletos (OLCPR), 79-76.
The Guards’ Julian Godinez led all scorers with 22 points while Larry Pasatiempo and Brando Lustre tallied 21 markers each for OLCPR.
It was the Guards fourth straight victory while OLCPR dropped to 2-2.
In the third game, the match between the Pacubas Main and Pacubas Basak was stopped at the 3:36 mark of the first quarter due to rains with the former leading, 16-8.
